These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to ameaningfulcareer.ca (the “Website”) and any educational, informational, or career-development resources (collectively, the “Services”) provided by A Meaningful Career in Financial Services (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), headquartered in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. BY VISITING THE WEBSITE, REQUESTING INFORMATION, REGISTERING FOR EVENTS, OR CONSENTING TO RECEIVE ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS.

1. Services Provided
We provide career development content, event registration, educational materials, mentorship guidance, and relevant resources for individuals interested in financial services. Services may include workshops, webinars, coaching sessions, downloadable guides, or other related materials delivered by our staff or trusted affiliates.

2. Estimates & Agreements
Written Scope. For paid services or program packages, we will provide a written summary detailing scope, benefits, timing, and pricing. Non-Binding Until Signed. Estimates or offers are non-binding until both parties sign an Agreement or confirm electronically. Change Orders. We reserve the right to adjust content delivery or schedules due to unforeseen circumstances. Any changes will be documented and shared promptly.

3. Payment Terms
Deposit. For paid offerings, a deposit (typically 25%) is due upon acceptance. Progress Payments. Larger programs or long-term coaching packages may require milestone payments. Final Balance. Full payment is due upon completion or delivery of services. Late Payment. Past-due amounts may accrue interest at 2% monthly (26.8% annually) and result in service suspension. Accepted Methods. We accept e-transfer, credit/debit card, cheque, and cash (where applicable).

4. Access & Participant Responsibilities
You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information during sign-up and maintain active contact details.

  • Respect intellectual property by not reproducing or distributing materials without written consent.

  • Participate respectfully in discussions or mentoring groups.

  • Notify us of any accessibility or scheduling needs in advance.

5. Limited Satisfaction Guarantee
We aim to deliver meaningful value. If you are unsatisfied with a paid program and notify us within 7 days of start, we may offer partial refunds or future credit at our discretion. This guarantee excludes digital downloads and previously completed sessions. We do not guarantee job placement or specific career outcomes.

6. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel or reschedule up to 72 hours before a scheduled event or session without penalty. Late cancellations may incur a fee to cover administrative and facilitation costs (typically 10–15% of the total).

7. Mobile & Electronic Communications

7.1 Express Consent
We send promotional or informational electronic messages (SMS, email, voice) only after clear, affirmative opt-in—e.g., checking a consent box, replying YES, or signing a form referencing these Terms.

7.2 Opt-In Disclosures
Each opt-in includes the program name (“Career Services Updates”), our legal name and address, “Msg & data rates may apply,” estimated frequency (e.g., “up to 4 msgs/month”), and links to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Consent is not a purchase condition.

7.3 Opt-Out / Help
Text STOP (or END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT) to cancel, or HELP for assistance. You will receive a confirmation of your opt-out.

7.4 Carrier & Delivery Disclaimer
Wireless carriers do not guarantee message delivery and are not liable for delays or failures.

7.5 Message Frequency & Rates
Message frequency varies by your preferences and program status. Standard text rates apply based on your plan.

7.6 Record-Keeping
We retain records (phone number, email, IP address, timestamp, and opt-in method) for at least three years to demonstrate compliance.

7.7 No List Rental or Sale
Your opt-in data is never sold or rented. We only share with partners who deliver our services, under strict confidentiality.

7.8 Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
For Canadian residents, we comply with CASL by:

  • Obtaining express consent unless an exemption applies;

  • Identifying ourselves clearly in every message;

  • Including an unsubscribe link or keyword functional for at least 60 days.

8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and protect it, and your rights to access or correction.

9. Website Content & Acceptable Use
Website content is provided “as-is” for general information. We strive for accuracy but don’t guarantee it. You may not copy, scrape, or republish any material without permission, nor use the site for unlawful, harmful, or commercial solicitation.

10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, A Meaningful Career in Financial Services is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of our Services or Website. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service in question.

11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless A Meaningful Career in Financial Services, its team, and contractors from any claims or costs arising from: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) misuse of our content; or (c) failure to follow participation rules.

12. Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian laws. Legal disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Windsor, Ontario.

13. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. Updates take effect once posted with a new “Effective Date.” Continued use of the Website or Services after notice indicates your acceptance.
